Job Description

Private family seeks an energetic, dependable, and service-minded Private Driver to support daily transportation and household-related needs at their primary residence in Westchester, NY. This is a professional yet not overly formal position that requires regular driving into Manhattan, as well as occasional support at additional local properties. The role follows a Monday through Friday schedule with a guaranteed 35 hours per week, with overriding flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends, as requested and with advance notice. A vehicle is provided for all job-related driving, and strong familiarity with Westchester County, New York City, and surrounding areas is essential.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Safely and reliably transport the principal to and from meetings, office days, appointments, and engagements, primarily between Bronxville and Manhattan
  • Prepare routes in advance and adapt in real time to traffic and schedule changes to ensure punctuality and safety
  • Maintain vehicles in pristine, guest-ready condition at all times, including cleanliness and fuel readiness
  • Oversee and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance, inspections, registrations, and E-Z Pass management
  • Assist with errands such as FedEx, pickups and drop-offs, dry cleaning, grocery shopping, and other personal or logistical tasks
  • Provide event support at the Tarrytown property, including setup, breakdown, errands, and vehicle coordination
  • Assist with loading and unloading personal items or materials as needed
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with principals and household staff, executing tasks with minimal follow-up
  • Uphold discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism at all time
  • Support special projects and “all hands on deck” situations surrounding scheduled events

Requirements:

  • Strong command of English language; outstanding writing and verbal communication
  • Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
  • Prior professional driving experience for private families, executives, or similar high-discretion environments
  • Strong knowledge of Westchester County, New York City, and surrounding areas
  • Familiarity with automotive maintenance and basic repair knowledge is a plus
  • Polished, poised, and professional in both mindset and manner, use of utmost discretion at all times
  • Positive attitude and adaptable to evolving family schedules
  • Flexible and dependable, with availability for occasional evenings or weekends when scheduled in advance
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Outlook, iPhone, navigation apps, and basic scheduling communication
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
  • Dedication to responsibilities; proactive with an above and beyond attitude and service-oriented mindset
  • Energetic with a strong work ecthic and willingness to assist with light lifting and event setup as needed
  • Comfortable working within a team-oriented household environment
  • Valid Driver’s License, confident driver with zero points on license
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer

Compensation: $100K annually + benefits
