Our work depends on a Platform Support Engineer joining our team to support user activities on a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform.

At GDIT, we foster a people-centric environment. As a Platform Support Engineer , you will be trusted to provide technical support to a Microsoft365 users. In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Work independently to resolve service tickets
  • Collaborate with teammates (engineers, developers, and architects) to resolve platform issues
  • Mobile Application Management (MAM) support for Android and iOS
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with M365 apps (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
  • Handle user onboarding, offboarding, troubleshooting access and permission related issues
  • Address basic security concerns (MFA and phishing)
  • Responds to user requests and provides technical support and training to end users
  • Ensure that all tickets are documented with status, customer communications, and full description of the problem/resolution daily
  • Provide troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and provide support to the M365 architect and admins to ensure platform operations and uptime.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Communications, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience plus 5 years of required experience below OR Associate's degree plus 7 years of required experience below.
  • 5+ year's experience supporting iOS and Android devices
  • 5+ year's experience supporting Windows Intune
  • 5+ year's experience supporting M365 products (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Office suite)
  • 5+ year's experience supporting mobile access, such as MAM or Mobile Device Management (MDM)
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance and meet United States residency requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Healthcare Service or Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) agency experience
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • Microsoft 365 Certification
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices and an understanding of industry trends and difficulties
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences
  • Works well as a team member in a fast-paced and often time-sensitive environment

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $34.74 - $47.00. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
