We proudly serve the Mid-Atlantic region, offering a wide range of dry, refrigerated, and frozen products to restaurants, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and more.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Yard Jock / Switcher to join our dynamic transportation and operations team in Harrisburg, PA. This role is crucial in maintaining the smooth flow of loaded and empty trailers at our Inbound and Outbound docks. If you have experience in yard operations and a knack for switching or driving, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely move company trailers within and between Feeser’s facilities.
• Collaborate with transportation and operations teams to prioritize tasks.
• Report equipment statuses and productivity information accurately.
• Conduct regular spot checks and report on damaged or inoperable equipment.
• Ensure switcher equipment is in safe working order through pre/post-trip inspections.
• Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• A valid CDL Class A License or military equivalent experience.
• A safety-driven mindset with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of professionalism and strong work ethic.
• Ability to adapt to sudden changes in customer demands or operational goals.
• Detail-oriented and accurate in all tasks.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to repeatedly climb in and out of a truck and conduct periodic spot checks.
• Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 75 lbs., and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication via two-way radio.

Qualifications:

• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in switcher operations, driving, warehouse, distribution, or military transportation equipment operations.
• High comfort level with backing and operating heavy machinery.
