About the Job
Our Client is seeking two Behavioral Health Consultants to join an interdisciplinary care team dedicated to delivering high-impact, trauma-informed behavioral healthcare. This role provides short-term, individualized therapy to members with complex behavioral health conditions such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders. As a key member of a collaborative team, you will support improved health outcomes through clinical expertise, motivational interviewing, harm reduction, and integrated care coordination.

Who You Are
You are a licensed behavioral health clinician with experience working in community mental health, inpatient psychiatric care, or with medically complex populations. You value trauma-informed care, evidence-based practices, and have a strong ability to engage members who face barriers to accessing care. You are comfortable navigating dynamic, team-based environments and maintaining clinical excellence in your documentation and service delivery.

Your Role

  • Provide short-term individual and group therapy, including post-discharge behavioral health follow-up

  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized, SMART-goal treatment plans

  • Collaborate with primary care providers, psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers to support behavioral health goals

  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed

  • Serve as a behavioral health subject matter expert within the interdisciplinary care team

  • Complete timely documentation in the electronic health record

  • Maintain active communication with patients and care team members to ensure adherence to care plans

How You Qualify

  • Licensure: LCSW-C, LPC, LPCC, LCPC, LMHC, PhD, or PsyD (must allow for independent clinical practice in Maryland)

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in behavioral health; 2 years in a community mental health or similar setting
